The Hidden Spectrum

My journey through the Majorelle Gardens was never only about color.

It was about discovering that light has the power to transform a surface without ever changing it.

A single wall could appear entirely different with every step, revealing hidden tones that only existed through shifting light and perspective.

This work was born from that experience.

The textured surface is not merely a background—it is an active part of the composition. Built with sculptural relief, it is designed to interact with light. Viewed from one side, the recessed textures reveal vibrant Tiffany Green; from the opposite side, they shift into the deep intensity of Majorelle Blue. The painting itself never changes—only the viewer’s perspective does.

The three-dimensional brushstrokes float above the surface as independent sculptural elements, creating another layer of movement between light, shadow, and color.

The Hidden Spectrum is a meditation on perception.

It suggests that every surface carries invisible possibilities, waiting for light—and for the observer—to reveal them.

Perhaps nothing truly changes.

Perhaps we simply discover another layer that was always there.
